Differentiate:
"Practice makes perfect," is what my mom used to say. This simple statement is very true, however we all practice in different ways and reach the end product (music performance, soccer game, book report, etc) in different ways. In this section I show that there are a lot of chances for students to practice the skills and learning targets, as well as different ways to practice and reach the final goal. As mentioned in the articulate section it is important to give feedback on this practice using the student centered language from the scales that articulate how they are progressing in each skill/LT.
Using the backward by design approach, we start with defining the end product (summative test or performance) and what skills required to achieve it. Then, we can design a variety of practice (formatives) that will help ALL students learn the skills and LT's to achieve their best on the summative.
